New Delhi, May 3 -- Although actor Tisca Chopra is open to doing TV shows, she is clear that the roles which require her to use bottles of glycerin aren't for her. "I won't copiously weep on TV. That is just something I won't do, even if I am a part of a TV show," says the Taare Zameen Par actor.
Reality shows are also something she just isn't comfortable doing. "I want to be part of a non-fiction show, but that doesn't mean I will be part of a reality show. They are too intrusive and I am not comfortable with that. However, I don't mind hosting a chat show or even having my own show," says Tisca, who was also seen in Anil Kapoor's show, 24.
While many of her performances have been appreciated by audience and critics, Tisca says that she finds it tough to bring something new to the table every time. "I feel it is tough to constantly reinvent oneself. I think it is important to keep people excited by working on your look and your performance in every project. As an actor, you are a product and you can't get outdated," she says.
Tisca, who has been associated with smallbudget films in the past such as Khushiyaan (2011) and Qissa (2013), says that she wants to focus more on commercial projects. "I ended up doing many indie films. They are satisfying, but their reach is not much. Some of them don't release, while others don't have the funds or the PR machinery for promotions. This is why now I have made a conscious decision to do projects which are more mainstream," she says.
