New Delhi, April 14 -- Looks like the comedy genre will never get out of fashion. Amid the already existing bunch of comedy shows on the tube, here's a new one that promises to tickle your funny bone. And with elections being the flavour of the season, politics seems to be the right theme for comedy.
Titled Gangs of Hasseepur, the show will reportedly feature a mix of classic Indian-style hasya kavi alongside new-age stand-up comedians.
"There will be hilarious spoofs bringing you the 'asli chehras' of some of the most talked about netas, actors and sports figures," says a source from Zee TV, where the show will be telecast.
Peppered with anecdotes plucked out of everyday life, the show will see funnymen Raju Shrivastav and Suresh Menon in pivotal roles, alongside comedian Bharti Singh. Actor and anchor Mandira Bedi will don the hat of judge on the show that will feature impersonations of famous personalities and spoofs on topical issues that affect public life.
