Mumbai, June 19 -- Darsheel Safary of Taare Zameen Par (2007) fame is apparently looking to venture into television shows. He was last seen on TV in a dance reality show in 2012, which garnered him a lot of appreciation.
Back then, he had expressed interest in working in serials. However, nothing materialised. A few months ago, he was approached to play the younger avatar of Karn in an upcoming mythological show, Suryaputra Karn.
But apparently, the makers felt he looked old for the role. After the buzz regarding the same faded, now sources claim that the makers are in talks with him again. An insider reveals, "Aditya Redij has been signed as the grownup Karn, and has been working on looking the part.
The makers are currently casting the rest of the Pandavas and the Kauravas. For the role of Arjun, Darsheel's name has come up. The makers think he will suit the part since Karn is the eldest of the Pandavas, and Arjun is much younger to him. However, the makers are still awaiting Darsheel's decision." When tried contacting, Darsheel was unavailable for a comment.
