Bigg Boss 8: Confiscated at sight!

New Delhi, Sept. 24 -- Like every season, this time, too, Bigg Boss contestants had to part with some of the items that they had packed in their luggage. From giant bottles of mouthwash to quirky hair accessories and even gud-chana (jaggery and gram), a whole lot of surprising stuff was discovered from the bags of the 12 contestants, and confiscated before they entered the house.

"Model Diandra Soares had a separate mini suitcase full of hair accessories and head gears, including pink and white wigs, fancy hair clips, glitter, glue, hair extensions, feathers, beads and quills. She was not allowed to take any of these," says a source from the production unit of the reality TV show. However, 2014 Mr Gay India winner Sushant Divgikar was allowed to carry inside his feather bow, a stuffed toy, a satin robe and some "extremely skimpy clothes".

A chess board was found in TV actor Praneet Bhatt's suitcase. Bhatt, who recently portrayed the role of Shakuni in the television adaptation of Mahabharat, is an avid chess player in real life too, but he had to part with it. The source further reveals that a few packets of gud-chana was discovered from actor Sonali Raut's suitcase. "Sonali is a devotee of Goddess Santoshi Ma and fasts on Fridays, so wanted to carry the gudchana but she was not allowed to take it as outside food supplies are strictly prohibited in this game show," says the source.

However, it was actor Aarya Babbar, from whose suitcase the quirkiest of items were apparently discovered. Babbar not only carried a mascara kit in his bag, but there was also a giant bottle of mouthwash that he wanted to take inside, but was refused. "Also, apart from a huge number of photo-frames with pictures of his family, friends and Gods, he desperately wanted to carry inside his tiger-stripe printed phone case. He said it was a gift from someone special, someone with whom he had a deep connect. He was not allowed to carry any of these," says our source.
