Mumbai, June 8 -- Bollywood songs have always been popular, right from the gramophone age and cassette age to TV and YouTube. And while the singers, lyricists and composers become famous after the release of the songs, the musicians and technicians who have worked on it remain largely unknown.
Now, that is set to change as a new music show promises to celebrate these unsung heroes of Bollywood music.
The show, Music Room With Javed Ali, is a short video format featuring Javed, who will perform an evergreen song and then introduce the musicians who worked on the number. "Our channel, which is India's No 1 Hindi music channel, has always told the story behind the song and celebrated the unsung heroes who have helped to immortalise Hindi film songs," says Neeraj Vyas, executive vice president and Business Head, Sony MAX and Sony MIX.
He adds, "We are proud to present Music Room. This program breaks new ground and puts the spotlight on an unknown artiste, while revealing an interesting aspect of a well-known and much-loved song, thus making it more memorable."
