Asha Negi takes the digital route!

Mumbai, May 5 -- She started her career in 2010; got noticed in the TV show, Bade Acche Lagte Hain in 2011; and later rose to fame with the hit serial, Pavitra Rishta.
Now Asha Negi, who hasn't been part of TV soaps for over a year, has taken the digital route, and is excited about her upcoming web series.
She says, "Youth has been showing so much interest in web series, and actors who are looking for creative freedom are finding a great platform in the digital space."
Talking about the project, she adds, "I'm in love with the character I play. She's a sophisticated and confident Delhi girl with an attitude. I haven't played such a role yet, so it has been fun. It's a love story with suspense. We shot for it in Manali, Himachal Pradesh, and it was a beautiful experience. I'm looking forward to how people react to the show."
Her last TV outing was Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan in 2015. Asha says she didn't want to "rush into anything for the sake of it".
Talking about her break from daily soaps, she says, "I wasn't getting the kind of work I wanted. So, I decided to wait for the right projects. And then this web series happened. Many actors these days are taking a break from TV shows, and are being part of the digital content because of the creative satisfaction it offers. I am glad that we have this new avenue open for actors now."
The Indian Idol Junior host admits that she "misses acting on TV sometimes", and adds, "The satisfaction that I get from doing such projects balances out what I miss [about TV]."
