One look at Ishkq in Paris trailer and you can easily forget that Preity Zinta is making her comeback after four years. Seems she was always there. The hiatus has neither altered her exuberance nor her screen presence.
Preity shares an interesting chemistry with Rhehan Malliek. "I love guys who are bang on and don't waste any time," quips Preity and Rhehan Malliek in a mild manner tells someone on phone: "Strong advice - Don't get married, that's why I don't go beyond a night." With the literalist romantic backdrop of Paris the duo looks set to paint the capital of love in a wild hue.
The foot-tapping number that plays out in the background works for the context.
Directed by Prem Soni, the trailer often reminds you of the fun moments in Kareena Kapoor-Imran Khan starrer Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu.
Newcomer Rhehan has the confidence to stand tall in front of an established actress like Preity Zinta. Looks like he can manage to pull off a convincing act. Preity Zinta, who portrayed serious roles in her last few films like Heroes and Videsh, is back to playing a fun loving girl, which is a welcome relief.
Actor Salman Khan will also be seen in a cameo appearance in the film. Preity had announced on Twitter: "And Yesss.. Salman will be a part of Ishkq In Paris & I am super excited !!! Wait n watch people 4 all fun cuz for now my lips are sealed!"
"So excited to start ISHkQ IN PARIS soon! Been a long time since I've been in front of a camera. Too long! Time 2 get back into the groove! (sic)," Preity had shared on Twitter.
Director Shekhar Kapoor will be making a special appearance in the film too. He plays the role of French actress Isabelle Adjani's husband in the film.
Shekhar tweeted, "Had d pleasure of playing Isabelle Adjani's husband. Even for 1 day it was a pleasure as I have been her ardent fan forever."
The dimpled actress has several hit films to her credit including Koi Mil Gaya, Kal Ho Na Ho, Veer Zaara, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna among others. But she later changed her gear for a while and became an owner of IPL team Kings XI Punjab.
This year, Preity launched her own production company, PZNZ Media and this romantic comedy is the first film produced under the banner.
"Really looking forward to going to my favorite city Paris! I'm sure in some birth I lived there. That's why the city keeps calling me back...!," Preity had earlier said.
