New Delhi, Aug 26 (IANS) Scheming and cunning daughters-in-law, holier-than-thou mothers-in-law often seen in over-the-top melodramas are set for a comic topsy-turvy turn with a new TV show called “Main Kab Saas Banoongi”. The show, starting on Sab TV Sep 1, is a situational comedy about the aspirations of a daughter-in-law who wants to occupy the power throne of the house by becoming a mother-in-law.

New Delhi, Aug 22(IANS) Congress MP Sanjay Nirupam, who made news for his conversations with the women participants of reality TV show "Bigg Boss", was the first to be voted out Friday night. "I have enjoyed (the show) very much. I will meet you (all) outside," Nirupam told the "Bigg Boss" housemates while leaving. He was also seen hugging his new-found friends before making his exit. On coming out, he shared his experiences with host Shilpa Shetty.

Mumbai, Aug 19 (IANS) Furious at their leader Ramdas Athavale being dropped from the reality show "Big Boss-II", hundreds of Republican Party of India (RPI) workers Tuesday ransacked the office of Colours television channel and blocked the road outside. The parliamentarian's supporters barged into the offices of the newly opened channel in Andheri East and broke windowpanes, damaged furniture and fittings inside and outside the premises.

Chennai, Aug 16 (IANS) Sun Direct TV Pvt Ltd, a leading direct-to-home (DTH) service provider in south India, is set to replicate the success story in the other parts of the country. "In 45 days, the company will start its service first in Assam, Orissa and West Bengal. New Delhi, Aug 16 (IANS) Very soon, you will be able to watch a slew of TV channels on your GPRS-enabled mobile phone. Time Broadband Services Pvt. Ltd. (TBSL) announced Saturday it would launch its services in India later this month to provide 15 digital entertainment and news channels on cellular phones. "Everything is going digital and everyone is on the move. With this new concept, you do not have to wait to get back home to catch the breaking news. It will be there just a click away from you," TBSL senior vice president Irfan Khan told IANS.
