Mumbai, Mar. 5 -- Shah Rukh Khan was recently spotted in full bloom, wearing a colourful floral printed shirt on the sets of his show Zor Ka Jhatka. While the actor probably didn't know it, he was spotlighting a major trend for spring/summer, one that even men are picking up on. At city stores like Mango and Promod, floral garments are flooding the racks.

"We have a lot of tiny floral prints that are appearing on dresses and even shirts. In stores like Aldo and Charles and Keith, even the shoes come printed with blooms," says a representative.

Designer and stylist Nishka Lulla, herself a fan of flower patterns, recommends wearing a simple printed dress with a corsage bracelet or headband for the uber feminine look. "If you're more of a tomboy, then try abstract floral prints that are more cool than cute," she says.

While SRK may pull it off, designer Raghavendra Rathore isn't in favour of men going all out with budding prints. "It works well for resort wear, if you are traveling out of India and are not afraid of bumping into anyone you know," he says sardonically. "But if you're aiming for a high fashion look, then going for something subtle, like a black shirt with black floral embroidery, looks more sophisticated."
