Hawa Hawai queen Sridevi is set to return to B-town. Contrary to the expectations, the mother of two is not making her comeback with Boney Kapoor's film, instead she will star in R Balki's next.

Sridevi's comeback film will be produced by R Balki (of Paa fame) and directed by Balki's wife Gauri Shinde. Sridevi plays a woman who does not understand English but gets married to a very upwardly mobile man. The story revolves around the repercussions of this marriage and the way in which she overcomes the issues, reported Mumbai Mirror.

"Balki and Gauri have worked very hard on this subject for the past few months and are now ready to roll. She (Sridevi) loved Balki and Gauri's film offer. She requested all her friends and relatives to keep it under wraps," a source told the tabloid.

The Chandni star is working hard on her appearance for the film. "Sridevi is very excited about her comeback. She has hit the gym and is regularly going to a nutritionist to get into shape," added the source.

Reportedly, three years ago Boney didn't let her work in a Yash Chopra's film opposite Amitabh Bachchan, arguing that he wanted her to make a grand return in his home-production. Guess that plan didn't work out.
