Actress Sridevi, who has been chosen for Padma Shri award this year, says she feels humbled to receive the honour.
"I am honoured and humbled by the recognition. I would like to thank my fans for all the love and support they have given me," she said in a statement today.
Sridevi made her comeback after a gap of 15 years with 'English Vinglish', which released in October last year.
The film, directed by debutante Gauri Shinde, saw the versatile actor playing the role of a simple housewife and her aspiration and struggle to learn English.
The 49-year-old has worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi cinema.
