Special screening of A Wednesday organized for Gujarat CM Narendra Modi
| By Bollywood Hungama News Network Whenever a film dealing with a social message releases, it has become a trend of sorts to have special screening for political bigwigs. In the past, films like Taare Zameen Par and more recently Aamir had special screenings for VVIP's like the President of India- Smt.Pratibha Patil and Chief Minister of Delhi- Smt. Sheila Dikshit respectively. Now the latest film to have such a screening is UTV's A Wednesday starring Naseeruddin Shah, Jimmy Sheirgill and Anupam Kher in lead roles. The film will be screened for Gujarat Chief Minister- Shri Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar on Sat, 23rd August. Neeraj Pandey, the director of the film and Anupam Kher who plays the police commissioner in the film will fly down to Gandhinagar to show him the film. Speaking on this, Siddharth Roy Kapoor (CEO - UTV Motion Pictures) said, "We are happy to arrange a screening of the film A Wednesday for the CM of Gujarat. It is an important film about some of the burning issues of today and we would be happy if it inspires discussion, debate and action." A Wednesday is an edge-of-the-seat thriller which tells the story of certain events that unfold between 2 pm and 6 pm on a particular Wednesday - events which do not exist in any record but which deeply affects the lives of those involved. |
