New Delhi, July 23 -- She might not be known as a method actor, but Sonam Kapoor is going all out to prepare for her role in her upcoming film - a remake of the 1980 Rekha-starrer, Khubsoorat.
"I am taking three months off and will be working with a physiotherapist," says Sonam, who plays a professional physiotherapist in her home production. Sonam will also indulge in heavy-duty swimming, yoga, pilates and weight-training to look the part.
"Physiotherapists are usually extremely fit and right now, I don't look like one at all. I have to work hard since I also have a lot of swimming sequences in the film," says Sonam. Produced by her sister Rhea Kapoor, the film will be directed by Shashanka Ghosh. So has she met Rekha, who starred in the original? "Yes, I have already met her a couple of times. But this film is not similar to Hrishikesh Mukherjee's film. It's still a clash of two different ideas and also about a free-spirited girl who comes into someone's family and turns things around. But everything else is completely different."
