Son of Sardaar does not hurt sentiments: Ajay Devgn

Amid allegations that Son of Sardaar depicts Sikhs in a bad light, the upcoming film's producer and actor Ajay Devgn has said that he respects the community and the film does not hurt any sentiments. The All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) has urged the clergy to take action
against actor-producer Ajay.

In a letter to Akal Takht (the highest temporal seat of the Sikh religion) head Gurbachan Singh, AISSF president Karnail Singh demanded action against Ajay for hurting the religious sentiments of Sikhs.

The AISSF chief had said that the film has lines such as "If Sikhs weren't there, then who would have invented abuses" and "If Sardar weren't there, then on whom would the jokes be made", are very demeaning.
