Mumbai, Dec 5 (IANS) Ace cameraman-filmmaker Santosh Sivan is shooting for his second Hindi venture "Dastaan" said to be on a burning issue. But what that is, no one in the cast is willing to tell.

The film, with an interesting ensemble cast of Rahul Bose, Rahul Khanna, Victor Banerjee, Sarika and Anupam Kher, is Sivan's second Hindi film after the ill-fated historical "Ashoka" (2001).

The film is expected to be like Santosh's most celebrated film to date, "The Terrorist" (1999) starring Ayesha Dharker.

Every member of the cast has been sworn to secrecy. The only thing Victor Banerjee is willing to reveal is: "I'm shooting for the film in a volatile part of the country. I haven't done too many Hindi films besides Ram Gopal Varma's 'Bhoot' and more recently 'Tara Rum Pum'.

"I've certainly never done a film like 'Dastaan'. It's a powerful theme. And Santosh is a master-craftsman."

Sivan has just done a short film "Prarambha" on AIDS in Kannada for Mira Nair. His recent film "Navarasa" in Tamil dealt with the grey world of eunuchs.
