NEW DELHI, Dec. 15 -- After RA.One, actor Shahana Goswami will now be seen sharing screen space with Kareena Kapoor in Madhur Bhandarkar's much-talked-about project, Heroine. "My part is very different from all that I have played before in terms of the character's graph," says Goswami, who plays an actor in the film.
Heroine's storyline apparently revolves around the Hindi film industry and is known to be a mix of fact and fiction. Elaborating on the script, Goswami, 25, adds, "It's a nice and subtle depiction of what actually happens in our industry." Though Kapoor and co-star Arjun Rampal have already begun shooting for the film, Goswami will step in only in February. "I am shooting for an independent film till January end in Sri Lanka, then I will start work on Heroine," says the actor, who is also keeping herself busy with filmmaker Rohan Sippy's musical production, Love And All That Jazz.
The actor will also be keeping all the glamour aside for her part as Amina in Deepa Mehta's Midnight's Children, a cinematic adaptation of author Salman Rushdie's book. "It's a very intense role and one of the finest characters I have ever played."
