Satyam Cinemas to add 40 screens by 2011
| New Delhi, Jan 28 (IANS) Satyam Cinemas is on an aggressive mode of expansion and plans to add over 40 screens to its existing network by the summer of 2011. "We are targeting major cities in North, East and South India. This will include cities like Delhi, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai," Ian Riches, vice president of Business Development and Projects Satyam Cinemas, told IANS, via e-mail Thursday. "By the end of March 2011 we will be launching close to 18-20 screens in cities like Jodhpur, Aurangabad, Mysore and Rohtak to achieve a total of 40 screens operational by the end of the financial year," he added. Owned by Deven Chachra, Satyam Cinemas has been operating for nearly two decades in the capital. At present, it boasts of 17 screens across the country with four multiplexes - three in Delhi and a newly opened five-screen property in Indore. Bookmark/Search this post with: |
