Actor Sanjay Dutt has withdrawn his plea to surrender in Yerawada jail in Pune and will give himself up before a special anti-terrorist court in Mumbai.

Dutt had on Tuesday appealed to surrender in Pune but he has now withdrawn that plea, TV channels are reporting. It's unclear when he will surrender.

Dutt, convicted in the 1993 bomb blasts case, told a designated TADA court in Mumbai on Tuesday that he is facing threat to life from fundamentalist groups and hence should be allowed to surrender before Yerwada jail instead of the special court.
