Mumbai, Aug. 31 -- Actor Sameera Reddy as last seen in 2010 ilm Red Alert essayng the character of a naxalite. She is now gearing up to show her daredevil side in her upcoming film Tezz. The 28-year-old, who made her acting debut in Bollywood in 2002 with Maine Dil Tujhko Diya, says her journey so far has been quite fulfiling.
She says, "I've no problem being a 'masaledaar' (spicy) heroine. In fact I'm proud of it. In Bollywood, it's the jhatka matkas (dance moves) and naach gaana (songs and dances) that works . I'm lucky to have worked in all kinds of movies." Talking about her upcoming film Tezz, Sameera says that her character is unlike anything she has done before. "It's been physically very testing. I've done a lot of stunts like rafting and riding a bike for which I took six months of training."
She also refutes rumours that there were problems between her and Tezz director Priyadarshan over an item number shot for the film. "I was never miffed with Priyadarshan (filmmaker) about the item number, as reported by media. I respect him. There is only one major song in the film and it introduces my character."
Continuing her conversation about films, the actor says she has much to look forward to in the future including Kamal Hasan's next: "I've been approached for Hasan's Viswaroopam. Talks are on for it, but I can't say anything more on that.
And what about her love life? Is she seeing anyone? Sameera says, "I'm ready to mingle. But with the kind of hectic schedule and life that I have, it becomes very difficult for me to date anyone. I really want to find a nice guy though."
