Superstar Salman Khan was all praise for his friend and co-star Aamir Khan's TV show. Recently the actor spoke about Aamir's show Satyamev Jayate in a press conference in Dubai. The actor told a leading daily, "I am proud of Aamir. He is doing the best job through his show".
He appreciated Aamir's initiative and especially watching the episode on domestic violence he tweeted: "Wah yaar Aamir Ahan, teeluu (Aamir's character name in Andaz Apna Apna) ne toh kamaal kar dikha ya, yaar ab jisko hindi nahi aati vo zara pls isko translate karva lena, Thank you".
Aamir Khan has now become the first non-MP Bollywood actor to be invited to the Indian Parliament.
Soon after his TV show ruffled feathers after an episode dealing with malpractices in medical profession; the actor has received an invitation to the Sansad Bhavan. Aamir and his creative team will be there on Thursday to give their views on the subject of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the pharmaceutical sector.
“It’s a matter of great pride,” says an insider. Apparently, the head of the parliamentary committee, Shanta Kumar has invited Aamir to the Parliament. “The basic idea is to share the research on the subject of medicines.
Other actors who tried to get inside Parliament but could only manage getting till the gates are Emraan Hashmi for a film’s promotion and Rakhi Sawant, who harbours political aspirations.
