Mumbai, Aug. 1 -- He has worked with star friends like Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan in hits such as Judwaa (1997), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), Heyy Babyy (2007) and Housefull (2010).
But now, producer Sajid Nadiadwala seems to be looking beyond his friends and is vouching for the younger batch of Gen-X stars. In fact, he is on the lookout for scripts to work with Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan in his productions. Sources close to Nadiadwala suggest that the younger generation of actors have impressed the producer a lot.
"So much so that he eagerly plans to cast them in his movies and is hunting for the right scripts," says the source. Ranbir, for those who came in late, has previously worked with Sajid on Anjaana Anjaani (2010). When contacted, Sajid says: "These actors are immensely talented and are very well-versed with how things function in the business. I'm very excited about being able to rope them in and hope to work with them in the near future since I firmly believe that they are the future. I have worked with Ranbir on Anjaana Anjaani and he is a producer's delight."
For the time being, Sajid is busy with Housefull 2, which stars Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Asin and Jacqueline Fernandez apart from others. Besides that, he is also slated to start work on the SRK-starrer 2 States and Shahid Kapoor's Heer Ranjha soon.
