Saif set to team up with Prabhu

MUMBAI, March 6 -- Come 2014 and Saif Ali Khan is set to enter a new alliance, albeit strictly in the professional sphere. The much-in-demand director Prabhudheva is confirmed to kick off his next venture, starring Saif, early next year.

"Prabhudheva will first complete his yet-untitled film with Ajay Devgn before he takes up the Saif-starrer. The idea is to come up with a entertainer, the genre that Prabhu sir excels in. If all goes well, the film will go on the floors by March next year," says an insider.

Interestingly, the project will be produced by Reliance Entertainment and not Saif's Illuminati Films. "Saif and Prabhudheva have already had discussions about the storyline. But both of them are yet to discuss other details of the project since they are caught up with their respective films (while Prabhudheva is busy with the post-production of Ramaiyya Vastavaiyya, Saif is wrapping up Bullet Raja)," adds the insider.

When contacted, Saif confirms his association with Prabhudheva, saying, "It's a Reliance film and not my own production, but yes, it's true."

The film will be another big project in Prabhudheva's kitty after delivering major blockbusters like Wanted (2009) and Rowdy Rathore (2012). The choreographerdirector will get busy with the Ajay Devgn-starrer, which is produced by Gordhan Tanwani and likely to star Deepika Padukone, followed by Saif's film along with a Salman-starrer, to be produced by Ramesh Taurani.

"Later on, he might also team up with Akshay Kumar once again," adds the insider.

Meanwhile, Saif also wants to keep himself free for Prabhudheva's film. "After Bullet Raja, he, in all likelihood, will work on Sajid Khan's next film starring Riteish Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandez. He might also take up Sajid Nadiadwala's film too. But all of those will be wrapped by the time he starts Prabhudheva's movie," adds the insider.
