Riteish-Genelia spread awareness via CCL team

Mumbai, March 9 -- Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh - as part of one of the initiatives of their c team Veer Marathi - have decided to extend their support to the National Liver Foundation (NLF).

This makes it the first ever CCL team to have an awareness-based cause aligned to it. Love Your Liver is the campaign spearheaded by the NLF.

A source reveals, "Riteish and the team are exploring all platforms to push and promote awareness for the foundation. Riteish plans to spread awareness via his various initiatives, CCL being the first." The source adds that the team has already chalked out a few plans. "They started the awareness-building campaign with the use of digital perimeter boards during the Veer Marathi Vs Mumbai Heroes match. These boards were shown on TV channels airing the matches for the entire duration," says the source, adding that Riteish wants people to come forward and contribute to the cause.

Ask Riteish about this initiative and he says, "The NLF is spreading awareness about the hepatitis B virus. The liver is the most important organ in our body, but it's neglected by us. We believe that CCL and Veer Marathi is a good platform and also an unique opportunity to spread awareness."
