MUMBAI, Feb. 21 -- The alleged fight between filmmaker Karan Johar and Ram Gopal Varma seems to have fizzled out. On Wednesday afternoon, RGV publicly held out an olive branch as he got in touch with Karan on the social networking site Twitter.
The Satya (1998) director tweeted, saying, "Hey Karan I nevr evr invited u to see any of my films..but 26/11 is one film I would really like u to see..pls let me knw whn free (sic)."
To which, Karan immediately, replied, saying, "Super...will fix up with you for the screening on the weekend...all the best!! (sic)." He adds, "Ramu!! 26/11 is a film i am truly dying to see...let me know whenever you have a screening and i will be there!! (sic)."
In the past, Karan and RGV have been involved in many arguments on Twitter. They have often taken digs at each other. However, when we contacted RGV to ask him about what looks like a reconciliation, the filmmaker denied there ever being a problem in the first place. He says, "I never had a problem with Karan. The media just manipulated the stories. We just took all those jokes and false conversations circulated in the media as back-handed compliments."
His next film titled The Attacks of 26/11 is set to hit theatres on March 1.
