Rani Mukherji: Dad's the way!

By Hindustan Times

Mumbai, Oct. 5 -- Good morning star-struck readers! I'm in a very religious mood today because I have just come back from a Durga Pooja pandal in Juhu.

The bhog, the anjali, everything was so pious. And imagine after such a divine experience, I'm going to share gossip with you from Bollywood. What a life!

Anyway, I'll start the column today with Rani Mukherji whose Pandal I've visited twice in a row. Of course, I went on her invitation. The actor, I was told a while ago, won't be in town after the first day of the poojas since she has to start shooting for Anurag Kashyap's film in Pune. But instead of just the first day, she stayed for the first two days, offering anjali and bhog.

On the ashtami day, considered to be the most important day of the poojas, she wanted to stay back because her father has just recovered from illness, and no one in the family can shoulder the responsibility of the poojas. So, she organised everything this year on her own and then left to start shooting for Anurag's film.

Besides, she also told me that she is considering Raj Kumar Gupta's comic caper Ghanchakkar since she likes the script and the director, who brought her back to limelight with No One Killed Jessica. Hmm, good going gurl!
