Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan enthralled over 9000 fans with his mesmerising voice at a sold out event in Reliant Arena here. Rahat was accompanied by a group of over 20 musician and performed his hit Bollywood numbers like Dagabaaz Re, Tere Mast Mast Do Nain, Dil Toh Bachha Hai Jee, Teri Ore and also his mentor Ustad Nussrat Fateh Ali Khan's songs, Damm Mast Mast Mast, Allah Ho among others.
The singer started his World Tour 2013 on April 19 from Dallas, Texas and his next stop was Houston, which has the fourth largest concentration of South Asian population. His tour will conclude in New York after performances throughout North America and the Caribbean. Earlier, Rahat arrived in Houston on April 17 for a special VIP meet and greet event.
The singer has been visiting and performing in Houston for years now, but this was one of the largest concert attended by almost 9000 ardent fans, who stayed glued till past midnight. Rahat also commemorated 100 years of Indian cinema in his US tour.
During the concert the singer mentioned about having been associated with Bollywood for last ten years and appreciated the industry for giving him a wide platform. Khan, 39, first performed on stage in 1998 at a benefit concert in Los Angeles.
