Mumbai, Oct. 31 -- Good morning salted pistachios! Back to the grind after a day's break... I wish the day never ended. That's precisely the case with all of us after a day off. Khair, now that I'm back to the groove and so are my khabris and jasoos, let me feed your ears with some masaledar goss from B-Town, although I'm barely in the mood for it.
Today, my American reporter has sprung a surprise on me. He's messaged me from the other end of the globe to tell me that Priyanka Chopra is not in the US solely to record her album, write her songs and plan a string of music videos with top international and desi artistes.
She's there to ensure that her father, Dr Ashok Chopra, is well looked after. Basically, her dad was unwell and had been operated at a hospital in the US for some cancer-related issues. And Priyanka has been a diligent daughter, who has been running up and down between her studio and the hospital to be by her father's bedside. He's fast recovering and my reporter says, he'll be back to work in the city, soon.
Meantime, PC has spent several hours standing in the studios, near a microphone, to record her songs. Taking after her favourite Shah Rukh Khan, she's too is fast becoming an insomniac, who doesn't get sleep and works 24 hours a day. Phew!
