Actor Preity Zinta’s show Behind The Seam has been talked about ever since she decided to anchor a show on TV. Now, it’s close to becoming a reality. And now when it goes on floors, it will have a lot more than just the action that takes place inside the actor’s IPL team, Kings XI Punjab’s dressing room.
“The show’s concept was structured around my IPL team. The idea was to encapsulate every moment of theirs from becoming a team to experiencing highs in terms of wins and lows in terms of matches where we lost pretty badly. But now, with so much that has happened, I think the show will become a saga,” says Preity, who will be anchoring the Bollywood chat show, Up, Close And Personal on UTV Stars.
The actor admits that she will incorporate everything that the team has gone through, including the time when it was dragged into a court case involving fraudulent exchanges of money and management of book of accounts.
“We experienced so much together. There was criticism, messages of support, love, and at times, even hatred. I have to tell the world what my team felt when we were shouldering the burden of proof in that crazy court case. I have to share the joys I experienced with the new line-up. The show will be loaded with all kinds of emotions,” asserts Preity, who has also become a film producer now.
Has she spoken to a broadcaster for the show? “It’s too early to talk about it,” says Preity. “At the moment, I’m looking forward to my new chat show.”
