NEW DELHI, Sept. 18 -- Yet another small budget film has fallen rey to the Censor Board's ire. Not just Board's ire. Not just the theatrical promo of Jo Dooba So Paar It's Love in Bihar got altered but the film has also been allotted a U/A certificate.
"I am baffled at Censor's decision. If we agreed to make the recommended changes then why did they give us a U/A certificate," asks director of the film Praveen Kumar, who feels Censor Board of Film Certification is 'partial and chaotic in their approach'.
"I don't wish to name names here, but we all know big banner films where people managed to weave a story around abuses got clearance but insignificant people like us face the fury," adds Kumar. The board primarily had a problem with the two words, 'maa' and 'ghanta', so they recommended beeping the two words from the theatrical promo that goes on air this Friday.
However, the fimmaker's problem didn't end here as the Censor Board also have a problem with a line on the posters which reads 'Bihari in love... is se khatarnaak baat to ho hi nahi sakti'. Kumar, however, isn't keeping quiet this time and is gearing up to fight back. "I plan to appeal again and want them to reconsider their decision as I feel the entire Censor board is not difficult. But I seriously appeal that its high time we need to reform the procedure," he says. The film stars Rajat Kapoor, Vinay Pathak and Anand Tiwari and will hit the box office on October 14.
