Mumbai, April 11 -- If this information is any indication, it seems like Prateik is gradually setting up his second home in the midst of sun and sand. The actor, who's already in talks with a broker to buy a house in North Goa, now is all set to join the elite Salgaocar Sports Club next.
Not only did he spent a lot of time in the Southern state shooting for Dum Maaro Dum and My Friend Pinto, he also trained at the iconic football club in Vasco for three months, before that.
The ardent football fan's passion seems to have taken this turn due to his recurring trips. And at a time when other Bollywood actors are signing up as fans of Chelsea and Manchester United, Prateik's plans to join Salgaocar came as a surprise. A friend of the actor explains, "If he ever wrapped up his shoot early, Prateik would head to Salgaocar for football. He plays forward, and sometimes backs up as a goal-keeper. But he's better as a forward player. Besides, he also finds football very de-stressing after a long day's shoot." On other days, the actor's also known to have gone out partying with his friends from the football club, and entertained them with interesting anecdotes from his experiences in the industry.
Beyond football, Prateik began growing fond of Goa after shooting two movies there. So much so, that long after he finished work, he's visited the State a couple of times to just chill, whenever he got time off from his hectic work schedule. He adds, "It was during one of his last trips there that he decided to buy a house. And after checking some places out, he's decided on a river-facing house, away from the city crowd and tourist hangouts."
We tried contacting Prateik for his side of the story, but he didn't revert to our text messages. However, his spokesperson confirmed that the actor has made up his mind to join the iconic football club after he seals his dream-house deal.
