Mumbai, July 2 -- Filmmaker Prakash Jha's next, Satyagraha, which is slated for an August-end release, has already grabbed attention because of its ensemble cast and the shifting release date. The story is set in the hinterland and to keep the essence true, Jha has turned stylist especially for this film.
Apparently, all of actor Amitabh Bachchan's outfits have been sourced by the director himself. A source close to the production house reveals, "Jha had a very clear idea of what he wanted in the movie. Since the film deals with the topic of revolution, he wanted his actors to look a certain way. Moreover, for Bachchan, Jha was keen on looking into the styling himself."
Jha says, "It is true that I purchased the clothes that Mr Bachchan has worn in the film. I was very particular about his look and needed the right textures and fabrics. I went with my team to buy all the clothes."
The source goes on to add, "For close to 35 days prior to commencing the shoot, Jha scouted the markets of Mumbai and Delhi looking for simple clothes. He went to stores and sourced out exactly the kind of costumes he wanted Bachchan to wear. Throughout the film, Bachchan will be seen wearing khadi kurtas, as that was the look Jha was aiming for, for his leading man. Once the clothes were finalised, the unit headed to Bhopal for the shoot."
