Mumbai, May 24 -- Filmmaker Prakash Jha shares a deep bond with the city of Bhopal. Many of his previous films - such as Gangaajal (2003), Apaharan (2005), Raajneeti (2010), Aarakshan (2011) and Chakravyuh (2012) - were shot there.
However, despite its shoot-friendly rustic charm, the city always remained the least preferred choice when it came to hosting promotions. But for his upcoming film, Satyagraha, Jha is ensuring that all promotional events start at Bhopal first.
Jha remains unavailable to comment on it but a highly placed official from the production confirms the development. "Prakash has become so accustomed to shooting in Madhya Pradesh, especially Bhopal, that he considers himself a local. The event will be held in metros after being hosted at Bhopal," says the official.
Satyagraha is a political thriller that features Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai among others in the lead.
