After having won a million hearts with his stellar performance in this season's blockbuster, A Wednesday, the legendary Anupam Kher is back with Rahul Dholakia's Lamha, in which he plays a freedom fighter for Kashmir only to be facing a political twist later. The film that's being extensively shot in Kashmir, deals about various subjects and issues including army, terrorism, Kashmiri pandits etc…
Speaking exclusively to Bollywood Hungama, Anupam said, "The reason why I chose to play this role was because it was a good role and that I like Rahul as a director. This film also gave me the opportunity to go to my hometown Kashmir." When asked about the preparations that he is doing for the role, Kher said, "Once the look of my character is right, the rest of it will just follow."
Besides Lamha, Anupam Kher has got his hands full with films. On this, he says, "I am doing this interesting film called Morning Walk, that's being directed by the Bengali director named Aroop. Besides me, this film has got Sharmila Tagore, Divya Dutta and Rajat Kapoor. My character is that of a person who is divorced and lives with his son and daughter in law. And after sometime he realizes that he is in love with Sharmila Tagore."
Besides this film, Anupam has Karan Johar's production directed by Ayan Mukherjee, titled Wake up Sid, Yashraj's next with Rani and Shahid, Chandrakant Kulkarni's Carry On Pandu, Rumi Jaffrey's film with Abbas-Mustan, an untitled film with Aditya Datt, and also Ajay Chandok's Chatur Singh Two Star.
