Simi Garewal is planning to step behind the camera again. The veteran actor says she plans to return to the big screen as a director soon. “I will be back on the small screen with my show next year. On the big screen, I will return, but behind the camera as a director,” says Simi.
The actor, 66, has given memorable performances in films like Do Badan (1966), Mera Naam Joker (1970), Siddhartha (1972) and Karz (1980). She has also written and directed a Hindi film Rukhsat (1988) in the past. The family drama starred Mithun Chakraborty, Anuradha Patel, Marc Zuber, Rohini Hattangadi and Amrish Puri.
“We are still in the process (of scripting). Things will be finalised within a month or two. I have directed before and have been behind the camera for many years. I like being a technician,” Simi says, without divulging any details about the project.
