Mumbai, July 6 -- Director Farah Khan is on a hunt. The choreographerturned director is all set to start off her next venture, Happy New Year and she is on the lookout for a new face to play the lead role in the film.
Initially, what was supposed to be a movie featuring four lead stars, will now have five new faces instead. A source close to the project reveals, "So far only Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan have been signed for the film. Boman Irani will be playing a supporting role. However, Farah is yet to finalise the other two lead stars, a guy who is a little beefy (the part which actor John Abraham was supposed to play) and another, which is of a young boy who can play the role of an 18year-old."
The source reveals that the casting of the girl is the main priority at this point. The source says, "Finding a suitable girl is proving to be difficult. The role is of a Maharashtrian woman, so the girl has to be someone who can manage a Marathi accent and is a good dancer. Farah is now likely to get a new girl for this role." When asked, Farah confirms the news. "Yes, I will cast a new girl. I've been on the lookout for this woman for a while and I'm close to finalising someone. We will begin shooting in September," she says. Recently, there were rumours that Farah had finalised television actor Jennifer Winget for the role, however, none of those turned out to be true.
