Mumbai, June 29 -- Farhan Akhtar's next, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, is a biopic on sprinter Milkha Singh. The film, which is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, brings together several portions of the legend's life.
As Rakeysh is trying to stay true to Singh's life, he has been insisting that the film is not a sports film but a wholesome take on the Olympian's struggle, loss, fear and triumph. We've also been told that the film has undergone some serious editing.
A source close to the production reveals, "When the promo of the film was unveiled, audiences were surprised to see intimate scenes featuring Farhan and Australian actor Rebecca Breeds. However, that was one passing shot. The actual scenes between the Farhan and Rebecca are very steamy so much so, that the makers decided to tone them down at the edit stage."
The source adds that the chemistry between the two was sizzling and the makers were hesitant to show it. The source says, "The team felt that trimming those scenes would be better. Even though it was essential to include them, the makers did not want them to take away from the other aspects of the film."
