Yamla Pagla Deewana's title track is Punjabi to the core

Although the fusion of hip-hop with bhangra isn’t a new trend, the title track, Yamla pagla deewana, which combines both these genres, is an entertaining listen. Sung very convincingly in Punjabi by Shankar Mahadevan and Sukhwinder Singh, this is the kind of song you might end up
dancing to, maybe at a wedding. There’s another version of it, sung by Toshi Sabri, but we preferred the first one. Changli hai changali hai by Mika Singh has the same celebratory mood and percussions of his earlier hit, Dhinka chika (Ready, 2011). The music sounds stale and the vocals get annoying halfway into the first verse itself.
