Mumbai, May 7 -- Ekta Kapoor is finally ready to take off to Harvard, where she has enrolled for a one-month business development course. Before she left, the popular producer hosted a dinner with friends and family.
"I'm very excited to be going. I've been keen on doing this course for a very long time. On Sunday (May 5), I managed to spend a quiet night with my friends and family. It was great catching up with everyone before I left," says Ekta, who will attend the Owner/President Management Program at the prestigious Ivy League university in Massachusetts.
The dinner for family and friends was held at Ekta's Juhu home. It was attended by the cast of her recent film, Shooutout At Wadala (SAW) as well as those who work with her production house. John Abraham, Sanjay Gupta, Sophie Choudry, Sameer Arya and brother Tusshar Kapoor were among those present.
Ekta took off for the USA on the afternoon of May 6. In her absence, her parents and team will look after her production duties. A source says, "Now that SAW has got a good opening, she's happy and is leaving for the course with a peaceful mind. She can now focus on it completely. She's been studying everyday and has four tutors teaching her subjects like Economics and Marketing."
