Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar’s short film in the upcoming collaborative project, Bombay Talkies, revolves around a school boy who wants to be like actor Katrina Kaif and dances his heart out to the song, Sheila Ki Jawaani, all the time. Zoya says she has based her film on an actual encounter she had with a kid who was fascinated with Katrina to the level of obsession. She met this boy a few years ago at a social gathering. Zoya says she was touched as well as saddened by the encounter.

It was a memory she carried with her and when the opportunity to direct Bombay Talkies came up, she wanted to worked on this story. “It was an incident which touched Zoya’s heart... she thought this story would be ideal,” says a source close to Zoya.
