Mumbai, April 9 -- Producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani couldn't have chosen a more apt location to host an event for their upcoming film that deals with the youth. The duo plans to launch the theatrical trailer of Fukrey at a venue that perfectly captures the humdrum of student life - a college canteen.
Farhan and Ritesh have settled on Churchgate's Jai Hind College for the event that is scheduled to be held on April 12. A source close to the film says, "Fukrey is a story about four boys who are on the verge of entering college and have wild dreams about their new life. Farhan and Ritesh will kick off the first promotional activity at Jai Hind. They, along with the director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and the cast will release the trailer to the media and interact with the students."
Ask Ritesh about their choice of venue and he says, "College plays a pivotal role in Fukrey. While it is not a campus film, college life is central to the story. We thought a student canteen will add the correct vibe for the launch of the trailer." Earlier this week, the makers had launched a promotional jingle along with an animated video on YouTube. Produced by Excel Entertainment, Fukrey stars actors Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi.
