Newbie actor Huma Qureshi says she doesn’t care about rumours surrounding her camaraderie with filmmaker and mentor Anurag Kashyap.
“I don’t give a damn to these kind of reports. If I let it bother me, it will affect my relationship with people who have helped me, who have believed in me. It will affect my work and I don’t want these stories or anything like them to affect my relationships with people who I care about, who have mentored me,” says Huma.
“At the end of the day, I don’t want to say anything about it. I just laugh it off. I rather let my work do the talking. Ultimately, today you will talk about it, tomorrow you will forget about it. Eventually what matters is your work,” she adds.
According to some recent media reports, Huma’s linkup with Kashyap, who gave Huma her debut project, Gangs Of Wasseypur (2012), is causing trouble in the filmmaker’s marriage to actor Kalki Koechlin.
Incidentally, Kalki and Huma will be seen together in the film Ek Thi Daayan, which is scheduled to release on April 19. Directed by Kannan Iyer, the film also features Emraan Hashmi and Konkona Sen Sharma in leading roles.
