Recently, Farhan Akhtar went all out on social media, promoting his awareness campaign — MARD (Men Against Rape And Discrimination) — through tweets and other activities.
The movement is clearly close to the actor’s heart as he has now initiated conversations with schools across Mumbai and Delhi to include the objectives of MARD, along with a poem that he has penned, in their curricula.
With this collaboration, Farhan intends to educate young minds about the plight of female victims and hopes to make them more aware about issues concerning the fairer gender. “Yes, my team and I are keen to make students sensitive. We are in conversation with lots of schools all over India,” says Farhan.
After the Delhi gangrape incident, the director-actor put down his displeasure in a poem titled ‘What is this country I live in’.
