Lamenting the dearth of good story writers in Bollywood, veteran actor Dharmendra, best known for his performance in the National Award winner Satyakam, said that every politician should watch the Hrishikesh Mukherjee directed 1969 classic. "I think telling the truth has stopped today. In Satyakam I told the truth and it was a very good story. I think every politician should see the film.
"Good films are being made but characters like those in Satyakam and Bandini are no longer there in our country," Dharmendendra said at a media conference at the PVR Cinemas, Avani Riverside Mall in Howrah Saturday.
Best known for films like Sholay and Satyakam, the actor was in Kolkata promoting his forthcoming film, Sangeeth Sivan's comedy drama Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 (YPD) - a sequel to the original.
