In a career span of eight years, actor Chitrangda Singh has done exactly that number of films. The actor says she isn’t too selective, but wants to be a part of good cinema. “I’m not choosy, but I just do the best that comes my way. I like to be a versatile actor and try different things. I want to do good films, be it commercial or non-commercial. I would love to do a Kahaani or a Jodhaa Akbar,” she says.
The 36-year-old will now be seen in I, Me Aur Main opposite actor John Abraham, which releases today. “It’s a beautiful role, something that I haven’t played before. She has an element of surprise to her. Her journey throughout the film is wonderful. She is successful professionally, but insecure in her love life. I had a lot of fun working in this film,” she says.
The film also has another lead — actor Prachi Desai. So, were there any catfights? “Prachi is a wonderful girl. She’s always smiling. We just had one scene together. There were no catfights. We are very boring people (laughs). I got to know her more during promotions,” says Chitrangda.
Speculation is rife that Chitrangda and her husband, golfer Jyoti Randhawa, have drifted apart. However, the actor chooses to keep mum on this, saying: “No personal questions.” The two also have a five-year-old son Zorawar.
