Hosting a TV show is nothing new for actor Salman Khan, who’s done it successfully a couple of times before. But for the first time, the actor will be the host of an awards ceremony. Salman, who usually chooses to stay away from such events, will make his debut as a host at the upcoming 8th Renault Star Guild Awards 2013.
Come Saturday, February 16, Salman will bring his distinctive sense of humour and signature style to the stage. A source reveals, “Salman is all set to entertain members of the film and television fraternity and his fans at the award ceremony. He has never done this before, so it’s quite a surprise for everyone. He has a unique style of hosting, and he will surely make for an absolute entertainer. That was the whole idea behind getting him on board.”
Salman KhanThe ceremony will also showcase performances by several other actors. The source continues, “This news was kept under wraps for quite some time. The whole idea was to surprise everyone. For Salman, who otherwise doesn’t even go up on stage to receive his awards, doing this is a big deal. The organisers are extremely delighted.”
