Sanjay Dutt takes Haryanvi lessons from driver
By Hindustan Times
A week ago, Sanjay Dutt had just about finished dubbing for Anand Kumar’s Zilla Ghaziabad. But the actor, who plays the role of a Haryanvi police officer in the movie, was not satisfied with his pronunciation.
Which is when his driver came to his rescue.
According to a source, the actor often overheard his driver, who is from Haryana, speaking on the phone in a heavy Haryanvi accent.
“He picked up the accent and a few tips on some colloquial words from him and then decided to redub a portion of the film,” says the source.
Producer Vinod Bachchan says, “We were content with the outcome, but Sanjay sir wanted to improve his work. It has worked out brilliantly.”
