Top Bollywood stars are adept at juggling multiple projects at the same time. But when one superstar decides to move his dates around, it throws all his associated films’ and his co-stars’ schedules out of whack. So, thanks to the domino effect that Aamir Khan set in motion by delaying the Dhoom:3 shooting schedule, co-star Katrina Kaif’s dates too seem likely to clash.
Yash Raj Film’s (YRF) Dhoom:3 is delayed because Aamir had prior work commitments and personal engagements. This will now affect his next venture, P.K, with director Rajkumar Hirani. It will also affect the Hindi remake of Knight And Day (2010 Tom Cruise-starrer), in which Katrina will star opposite Hrithik Roshan.
A source close to Kat reveals that she will now find it hard to fix her dates according to Aamir’s availability for Dhoom:3. “She has already given dates for the Knight And Day remake for three months, starting from the end of February. She was meant to have finished shooting for a major part of Dhoom:3 by then,” explains the source. But that looks unlikely, with Aamir wanting to shoot for the film in March. So far, Katrina has shot only a small portion with Aamir in Chicago.
Meanwhile, YRF is trying its best to somehow sort out the schedule problem. “YRF is trying to get some dates with Aamir in January and February, so that they can wrap up a sizeable portion,” adds the source.
If Aamir agrees to shoot for Dhoom:3 in January-February, that might solve Katrina’s problem. But then P.K, where he reunites with his 3 Idiots (2009) co-stars R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi, will have to wait.
