I’d be happy if Shamita-Harman got together: producer Raj Kundra
By Hindustan Times
If there are second chances in life, Harman Baweja has to be proof of that. In spite of his career not taking off, he’s now bagged Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty’s production, Dhishkiyaon. Explaining his choice, Raj says, “I think Harman fits the bill. He is an underrated actor.” The film,
which also stars Sanjay Dutt, will have realistic fight sequences rather than the exaggerated filmi ones.
Raj says, “In (most) films, we see a hero taking on 20 people. I wanted Harman to observe freestyle fighting like in Super Fight League (TV show). We want to have raw fighting scenes.” In the film, Harman plays a gangster who is transformed by love. A new actor, Ayesha Khanna, will star opposite him.
Ask Raj if he had any reservations about casting Harman, given his track record (in 2008, Harman debuted with Love Story 2050, followed by some more flops), and he says, “He is a good-looking guy and can dance and act well. I think he chose the wrong movies in the past.”
There have been rumours of a link-up between Harman and Kundra’s sister-in-law Shamita Shetty. Raj laughs and says, “These are just rumours, but I would be happy if they got together. I have told Shamita that if you want a nice Punjabi munda, Harman fits the bill.”
