Kareena Kapoor managed to impress one and all in her new role as Mrs Khan. Her wedding ensembles of ghararas and shararas turned all heads in her direction. Not only just the big fat wedding, her get-ups too became the talk of town.
COLOUR: Yellow and gold
REVIEW: Kareena Kapoor was glowing in the bright outfit designed by her very favourite Manish Malhotra. Clad in heavy jewellery, hair set in bun and all dolled-up in make-up, Kareena started her wedding week with élan.
EVENT: Marriage Registration
OUTFIT: Salwar kameez
COLOUR: Green and red
REVIEW: The suit with contrasting colours was apt for the small but important ceremony. It wasn't over-the-top or too simple. Kareena certainly looked radiating in the outfit. Since all her wedding attires were done by Manish, this too was probably one of it. Her hair was left lose and with minimal make-up, her natural beauty was in focus.
EVENT: Wedding (exchange of vows)
COLOUR: Golden and rust
REVIEW: The emotional value of this piece enhances it's beauty. The gharara is of Saif Ali Khan's grandmother and was also worn by Sharmila Tagore on her wedding. It was restored by Ritu Kumar and Manish Malhotra gave it final touches. Kareena is a spitting image of a muslim bride- fully clad in a pretty gharara, complemented with heavy jewellery and maang tika (one in center and other on the side).
REVIEW: The deep burgandy gharara with maroon dupatta has an old world charm to it. Manish Malhotra is behind this exquisite piece. Kareena went for a contrasting green neck-piece. The new bride looked like a true royal bride.
VERDICT: Bebo rocked as the new bride!
