Steven Spielberg's biopic Lincoln got a surprise screening on October 8 at the New York Film Festival, where it was met with mixed reviews. Some of the early reviews of the film confirm its status as one of the leading candidates in the race to the Oscars, and say that Daniel Day Lewis,
who already has two Academy Awards for best actor under his belt, is as impressive as ever as the sixteenth President of the United States.
"[Daniel Day Lewis] is guaranteed another Oscar nomination and frankly, we can't imagine anyone beating him out of winning his third Oscar, not even Joaquin Phoenix, who was so great in The Master," according to Edward Douglas's assessment on Comingsoon.net.
